Women’s Olympic Football v Australia

Wed July 21st 2021

The Football Ferns opened their Olympic Games campaign with a 2-1 defeat to Australia at Tokyo Stadium.

A bright spark for the Football Ferns, however, was the arrival of Gabi Rennie on the international scene, marking her debut with a goal just minutes after taking to the pitch. The USA is next for the Ferns.

The team will have to be ready for a US team that is not used to losing two games in a row after a defeat to Sweden. Pip & Carly have been working hard with the team and enjoying the Olympic atmosphere.
