Hayley Cameron
Physiotherapist
BHSc(Physio)
Hayley has a passion for kayaking and overhead sports, with extensive experience competing internationally in canoe polo and white-water slalom, including winning gold at the 2022 Canoe Polo World Championships. She is now transitioning into flat-water sprint kayaking, and combined with her earlier experience in swimming, this background has given her a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies and physical demands of kayaking and overhead sports. Drawing on this experience alongside her advanced musculoskeletal training, Hayley helps kayakers and overhead athletes of all levels recover from injury, regain confidence, and implement strategies to perform at their best while minimising the risk of re-injury.
While Hayley has a specialist interest in paddle and overhead sports, she treats a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, including acute injuries, chronic pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, and general sports injuries. Combining manual therapy, targeted exercise prescription, movement analysis, and education, she delivers care that is both effective and sustainable. Currently completing her Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Hayley takes a collaborative, patient-focused approach, working closely with each person to understand their goals, explain their injury clearly, and develop a personalised treatment plan that fits their sport, lifestyle, and performance ambitions — whether that means returning to competition, improving everyday movement, or optimising long-term function.
