Dylan’s visit to AFC Bournemouth

⚽🌍 A fantastic opportunity recently for Dylan Lonia-Hughes from the Roland Jeffery Physio team! 🇳🇿✈️

Dylan recently spent time visiting AFC Bournemouth, gaining valuable insight into the inner workings of a Premier League football club. 👏

He was given a tour of the club’s impressive new Performance Centre, including the state-of-the-art medical, rehabilitation, recovery and training facilities that support both the first team and academy players. The £32 million facility features indoor and outdoor training pitches, medical suites, recovery areas and performance analysis spaces, highlighting the club’s commitment to player development at every level.

A particular highlight was spending time with the academy and youth development staff, learning about the club’s pathway for nurturing young talent and the integrated approach between coaching, sports science and physiotherapy.

Dylan also had the privilege of spending the day the medical team, discussing injury management, rehabilitation strategies and the day-to-day demands of working within elite professional football. It was a fantastic learning experience and a great opportunity to share ideas with some of the leading practitioners in the game.

Of course, it wasn’t all work! Dylan also made the most of some well-earned R&R, taking time to explore the Europe, experience the local culture and recharge before heading back to New Zealand.

At Roland Jeffery Physio, we’re passionate about continually developing our team and learning from the very best. Experiences like these help us bring world-class knowledge, new ideas and the latest evidence-based practices back to our patients and athletes here in New Zealand. 🇳🇿💙
