Futsal National Women's League

Tue March 14th 2017

Emily Lo recently was the physiotherapist for the Auckland Football Federation Women's Fustal Team at the Futsal National Women's League in Wellington on the 24th to 26th February.

The team finished second after hard fought wins over Canterbury United, Northern, Central Hawkes Bay, Central Manawatu. Despite the narrow lose to the Australian team, Bayside Pirates, the Auckland Football Federation Women's team were crowned National Champions in the competition.

Emily was involved in the preparation of the team from training sessions through to the tournament (assessment, treatment and rehabilitation) as well as pre-game (strapping and massage). Emily worked hard during the tournament with injury prevention strategies including message, pool recoveries, stretching sessions to help keep the girls playing during a gruelling weekend!

Well done to the Auckland girls and Emily for a great achievement!
