Women’s Olympic Football v USA

The Women’s Olympic Football Team lost 6-1 to the reigning world champions USA in their second group game of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. 

The USA lost their opening game 3-0 against Sweden and deserved the win reigniting their Olympic campaign. While the final score was disappointing for the NZ team, there were some positives to take from the performance.

Pip & Carly have been working hard with team with the tight turnaround between games. They next face Sweden for their final group game on 27 July (8pm NZ).
