🇳🇿⚽️ All Whites 1-3 Egypt 🇪🇬
The All Whites battled hard but came up short against Egypt in their second FIFA World Cup Group G match, going down 3-1 at BC Place in Vancouver. After taking an early lead through Finn Surman and heading into halftime in front, New Zealand showed plenty of grit and determination against a highly-rated Egyptian side.
Egypt responded strongly after the break, scoring three second-half goals to claim the victory, with Mohamed Salah playing a key role in the comeback.
While the result wasn’t what the All Whites were hoping for, there were plenty of positives to take from another spirited World Cup performance. The team continues to show they belong on football’s biggest stage and will take confidence into their final group match.
Next up, New Zealand face Belgium in a must-win clash as they look to finish their World Cup campaign on a high. Come on the All Whites! 🇳🇿👏⚽️
