World Masters Games

Roland Jeffery Physiotherapy was recently contracted to help with the World Masters Games in Auckland, which ran from the 21st – 30th April. The event runs every 4 years, the most recent in Turin, Italy with the 2021 version in Tokyo Japan.

The clinic was involved with football at QBE stadium and badminton at both Auckland and the North Harbour venues.

It was a huge undertaking with our clinic having to ask the help of two other clinics and up to 25 students, just to cover our events!!

There were over 3000 players at our venues, all in the master’s category, so you can imagine the amount of injuries and tired muscles and joints over the 10 days of competition.

Our team was inundated with injuries – some serious and other not so serious but our therapists managed to keep the clinic running and provide a great service for the World Masters Games’ players.

  • "As a fully qualified sonographer I spend all day scanning my client’s injuries. Our appointments take only 20 minutes and I feed back my findings directly to your physiotherapist or doctor.
