New Zealand Qualify!

Mon Nov. 19th 2018

New Zealand has qualified for the knockout stages of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup with a 2-1 victory over hosts Uruguay in Montevideo. In a hard fought game it could have gone either way. Goals from Grace Wisnewski and Kelli Brown secured the victory for NZ.

Having secured their spot in the quarter-finals, NZ will now fight it out with Ghana for the right to top the group. Good luck to the girls and our very own Janina Aricheta, who will have her hands full preparing the team for the upcoming games.
